Chinese calligraphy is an Oriental art. It is said that the core of Chinese culture is its philosophy, and at the centre of this core is the Chinese Calligraphy. It is also said that the Chinese culture is condensed in the Chinese calligraphy. Learning Chinese calligraphy is therefore a good way to understand the Chinese culture. 中華書法是東方藝術。有人說書法是中國文化核心之核心。也有人說書法濃縮了中華文化。所以學習書法是瞭解中華文化的良好途徑。
2017年5月6日，海外華人書法家協會（簡稱：海外書協）成立大典）以及【一帶一路】首屆海外華人書法家協會書法大展開幕典禮在雅加達Pluit Village購物中心隆重舉行。這是海外華人書法界今年傳出的一個令人振奮的消息。
到會祝賀的除了印尼各地書法家外，有來自全世界包括中國、臺灣、美國、巴西、秘魯、日本、馬來西亞、菲律賓、緬甸、馬來西亞、新加坡、斐濟、印度、法國、瑞士等國家和地區的顧問團隊及書法同道近五百人，歡聚在雅加達西區珊瑚新村 大商場。印尼教育與文化部代表馬愛華碩士（Maeva Salmah）、中國駐印尼大使館周斌參贊受邀出席，並參觀了規模盛大的“一帶一路”書法大展。
