Chinese calligraphy is an Oriental art. It is said that the core of Chinese culture is its philosophy, and at the centre of this core is the Chinese Calligraphy. It is also said that the Chinese culture is condensed in the Chinese calligraphy. Learning Chinese calligraphy is therefore a good way to understand the Chinese culture. 中华书法是东方艺术。有人说书法是中国文化核心之核心。也有人说书法浓缩了中华文化。所以学习书法是了解中华文化的良好途径。

纪念改革开放四十周年，新时代“金雕杯”首届华夏榜书大赛，7月20日在乌兰察布市落下帷幕。来自印度尼西亚、菲律宾、加拿大、越南、新加坡以及广西、湖南、甘肃、浙江、云南等国内外的70余家书法（榜书）单位和书画界朋友共400多人参加了此次活动。
